Here Is The New Studio

Well, The Great American Folk Chair is folded up…

To make room for my studio! After one year in storage, I have…

my table. And I just …

unpacked the last box.

I also have my…

wedging table. Look!…

New shelves! And I have more shelves…

I have a seating area. (If you come visit, you may sit in The Great American Folk Art Chair)

I have a …

kitchen and an…

office! I even have a…

library! Most importantly, after one year in storage…I have my…

wheel! My Lockerbie motorized kickwheel! Notice the new, super cool, pretty white…what is that called? I checked the website…it is the “table”. My friend had it made and gave it to me! She is super cool, too!

Look!…

We sat the wheel in place and it is level!

I have my damp box back…

Good thing because…

I have been making pots!

A bunch of pots!…

And test tiles! I have been making tiles for glaze tests…

Good thing I have a…

glaze room!

And a…

big, groovy sink!

So there it is…my new studio. It is at 323Clay, 323 Maple, Independence, Missouri. It’s a brand spanking new clay studio. The website will be up soon. If you would like to be on the e-mail list for an occasional update, just let me know at taradawley@gmail.com

And wait till I post pictures of the rest of the studio and tell you about my studio mates! Do you want to know who my studio mateys are?? I bet you do…

  1. I already know! There are seven if them. And they are little. And they have funny names like sleepy and doc. And they live deep in the woods.

  2. Considering how long it seems to take to remodel a space into a clay studio, this place must have been in the works for 4-5 years. Where is the rubber chicken?

  3. Looks great! I hope it brings great joy.

  4. Well done!
